It's a stainless steel pitcher. Not realy much to say other than it is a bit wider and shallower than some I looked at wich works well with my frother.
I bought another pitcher this year and give it to my sister as a Christmas present. I use it every day and it is still shiny. She loves it, too. I've had this pitcher for over a year. It works wonders every time. Guess what.
This is a very nice pitcher, worth the $$. I would recommend it for a small to medium sized espresso machine.
I make Cuban coffee, so this pitcher was perfect for my needs, a 6 cup espresso maker I got from Amazon also. The handle doesn't really get all that hot either.
The handle allows you to keep your fingers away from the pitcher while steaming so they don't get burned. It's easy to clean by hand or simply put in the dishwasher. If you prefer less milk consider a slightly smaller one, unless you plan on making two at a time. This is exactly what I was looking for: a simple, classic frothing pitcher. It's nothing fancy, but it's well-made. This is a pretty large pitcher, but I like a decent amount of steamed milk in my lattes, so it works well for me.
